Blue on Blue by Cat Forsley ©

Blue on Blue

Just a Little Me

On The Beach

Run From The Tide

Hide From The Tide

Writing Names in the Sand

Yours was There with a pastel stare

Love is the In- Between

It Remains Unseen

I am Still on the wave of being seventeen

Cry a Little Bit

But The Angels Watch From The horizon

Blue on Blue: They Dream for You

Blue on Blue: I dream for You

Angels Disappear Into The Sea

But When They Rise

They Really Rise…

Empathize with Seashell Smiles

Recognized but not Standardized.

Just  a little me Wishing on a Starfish

I believe in a You that believes in a Me

Guess I felt You Rise

I did The Right Thing

You Said To Me.

Keep Your eyes on the horizon

Sure You will see The Angels I saw and still do

Blue On Blue .

Starry Eyed Mermaid …by Cat Forsley ©

There came a day ….

she opened her eyes wide to what she was and always had been ……

A starry eyed mermaid

Jumping into full constellations

And Knowing full well : where she was and why ….

Not If ….. Not When ….. but WHY ….

The WHY was finally answered

anchored deep in the deep blue sea

That anchor was the reason

The constant Resolve

The constant Courage

The constant lap of lapis Blue …..

She understood the depths she was swimming in ….

She understood the heights she could reach ….

The anchor  is  the heart of the matter

The constellations  are  the eyes of her heart

....Cassiopeia….

…Piscis Austrinus ….

Andromeda…..

The heart of her Grew

and she understood the in- betweens

With a clearer Voice

a CLEARER calling

Than ever before .

It was to be an Anchor

for one …For One is always more than Two .

For One heart she could dedicate her heart To

It Could take time ….. but for some uncanny reason

Time was always on her side

… A thousand beautiful breaths

….A thousand sighs and frequencies

That maybe One could fully understand ….

With that heaviness and lightness of Breath:

She Swam through waters – gentle and deep

Until she finally – deliberately

comprehended

The weight and the lightness of her Anchored Spirit ..

The Last Mermaid By Cat Forsley ©

The Last Mermaid

I will take you to the ocean
So you can see the last mermaid
Her kind is discontinued
Between the shark and shell and shade

Her eyes are made for water
Her fingernails are that of shell
She lives to bite your lips with blue
Her singing voice could never tell

She will race you through the waves now
Until her hair has tangled you in place
You are far away from everything
And there is no one left to save
There is no one left to save.
